Time to go shopping

Once those preparations are out of the way, it is time to find the right property for you.

Neighborhood Tour

Some buyers, particularly those who are relocating to Chicago or who have primarily lived in the suburbs, aren’t sure which neighborhood is right for them. Having helped dozens of corporate executives relocate to Chicago, Anne can set up a Chicago Neighborhood Tour, showing you examples of areas, housing stock, transportation routes and amenities that will help you hone in on the Chicago area that best works for you.

Narrow Your Search

Once you have an idea of the area or areas you’re interested inn, you can select a few properties that interest you the most and have Anne make appointments to visit them. In Chicago, listing agents frequently escort buyers and their agents through properties, so it’s important to give 48 or more hours’ notice in setting up these home tours.

Time to Buy.

Once you have picked out the property you want to purchase, we will help you make an offer that the seller will accept. First, we’ll review the activity of similar properties nearby to get an understanding of the property’s market value to help you develop a negotiating strategy. The percent off of the list price is NOT an indication of getting a “good deal”! There’s also a difference between the PRICE of a property and the COST of the home. Taxes, assessments, maintenance and heating/cooling should be considered as you contemplate your offer. The Offer to Purchase Agreement has several other variables that we’ll discuss as we draft a compelling offer on your behalf.
